Profile tab: Write a powerful tab 🏌️‍♂️

Table of contents

💡 If you have writer's block, this article is for you! We'll give you all our tips to get started with your Welcome to the Jungle team presentation texts.

The link to your Profile tab is the primary destination on search engines. It means it's the first page visitors will land on if they want to know more about your company.

This tab is meant to capture the attention and curiosity of job hunters with engaging and concise texts. Your profile should inspire visitors to learn more about your company and motivate them to take action and submit their application to join your team!

✍️ Why fill in the general information?

    Add your business sectors

You can add one, two or three business sectors. We strongly recommend that you choose 3 business sectors: this will allow you to rank higher in the job search filters.

Consider this: 20% of job searches are carried out using filters.

💡 The business sectors have been set up based on the LinkedIn framework, to simplify the search process for job hunters.

Add your website and social networks

If job hunters want to visit your website in addition to your Welcome to the Jungle profile, they can do so by clicking on the “View site” link displayed below your company name.

The same applies to your social networks, displayed in the top right corner under the "Follow them" section, giving job hunters an easy way to connect with you across various platforms.

💡 The link to your LinkedIn profile is a must in this professional environment.

    Add your offices address

You can choose which cities are displayed (or not) on your profile using this feature.

Note that the offices you display on your profile will be used as the default location that job hunters will find when filtering on a geographical area.

⚠️ This information will be requested during the first step of your Onboarding on the platform. Don't hesitate to read this additional step-by-step article on how to Set up your organization.

It will also be possible to edit your profile to enhance it later on.

📝 What should you write on the Profile tab?

In the next 3 sections, it's important to write in the 3rd person since Welcome to the Jungle introduces your company to job hunters.

    Writing the “Presentation” section

From the first sentence, the reader must understand what you do.

⚠️ If a job hunter doesn't understand who you are and what you do in 3 seconds, they'll leave your profile and move on to another.

Use simple words and short sentences.

We recommend proceeding in small blocks of paragraphs, for instance:

    • Explain your mission
    • Explain who your customers are
    • Explain your ambitions
    • Explain your challenges

If this suits your tone, add emojis to make your text more dynamic.

You can also put the most important facts in bold, which will help readers who like to scan through text to see the key information.

Writing the "What they're looking for" section

In this section, job hunters need to understand your recruitment challenges. What you mention here will help them feel legitimate when applying for a job at your company.

You can talk about the profiles you're looking for from several perspectives. Choose the one that best matches your company culture:

    • Soft skills or cross-disciplinary skills (e.g. people who are dynamic and curious)
    • Hard skills or technical skills (e.g. iOs mobile developers)
    • Field of expertise (e.g. mechanics, painters, quality engineers, sales people, buyers)
    • Level of experience (e.g.: experts, juniors and also people who are changing careers)

Writing the "Good to know" section

The content of this section is fairly free, this is where you show what makes you unique. That little something extra will make job hunters smile and think: "... and on top of everything, they do this 🤩 “.

You can mention, among other things:

    • A label or certification you've been rewarded (e.g. "ISO 900 since 2018")
    • An employee perk you're particularly proud of (e.g. "One of the first companies to adopt the Parental Act")
    • The company values that bring you together
    • Your team rituals

Did you know that our solution offers an Employer Brand Assets part where you can check off the labels and employee benefits you provide? Your custom assets can be added to your Profile tab for maximum visibility and differentiation.

💡 Don't hesitate to add emojis to this section to give job hunters a more enjoyable experience.

🔢  Why fill in the key figures?

On every company profile, the key figures section is standardized to offer a consistent reading grid to job hunters—it will help them identify your company's key dates and indicators at a glance.

The key figures block is made up of the following indicators:

    • Year of creation
    • Number of employees
    • Gender breakdown
    • Average age
    • Revenue
    • Professional equality index (Learn more

All key figures are **not mandatory**. If you decide to leave a field blank, then the indicator will not be displayed on your profile.

However, we do recommend that you fill in as many key figures as possible, to ensure confidence and transparency with job hunters (e.g. including employee turnover).

💡 Please note that the questions & answers at the bottom of the page, designed to optimize search engine optimization, are automatically generated with the key figures you fill in!
