How to be visible to recruiters through sourcing?

Table of contents:

As a candidate on Welcome to the Jungle, you can choose to be visible to recruiters through the Opportunities feature. This option allows you to be discovered by companies looking for profiles like yours, without having to actively apply. Find out how to optimize your profile and settings to maximize your chances of being contacted by recruiters for positions that match your expectations.

🎁 How to be discovered by recruiters

Beyond your active search, Welcome to the Jungle allows recruiters to discover you through the Opportunities feature.

📬 What are Opportunities (sourcing)?

Opportunities are jobs for which recruiters have directly identified you as a relevant profile. It is passive search: you are approached without having applied.

How does it work?

  1. Recruiters search for profiles in the Welcome to the Jungle talent pool.
  2. They identify your profile as matching their search, based on your profile and your own search preferences. Please note: your salary expectations are never shared with recruiters.
  3. You receive a personalized notification as soon as a recruiter wants to share an opportunity with you.
  4. You can view the job post and decide whether to apply or not.

📍 Where to find your Opportunities

To view the opportunities offered to you:

  1. Log in to your Welcome to the Jungle account.
  2. Click on the "Opportunities" tab in your navigation bar.
  3. You will find all the jobs for which recruiters have identified you there.

How to maximize your visibility with recruiters

1. Complete your profile to 100%

The more complete your profile, the more you will appear in recruiters' searches:

  • Professional photo: Increases trust and engagement.
  • Detailed experience: Clear job titles, precise descriptions with quantified achievements.
  • Technical skills, tools and soft skills: A comprehensive and up-to-date list.
  • Education: Degrees, certifications, continuing education.

2. Use strategic keywords to fill in your skills

Recruiters search with precise keywords. Make sure to include in your profile:

  • The technologies and tools you master (e.g.: Python, Figma, Google Analytics).
  • The methodologies you practice (e.g.: Agile, Design Thinking, Growth Hacking).
  • The industries you have worked in (e.g.: E-commerce, SaaS, Healthcare).
  • Recognized certifications (e.g.: PMP, AWS, Google Ads).

3. Highlight your concrete achievements

Instead of listing tasks, show the impact of your work:

  • ✅ "Increased conversion rate by 35% in 6 months."
  • ✅ "Developed an application used by 50 000+ users."
  • ✅ "Managed a team of 8 people across 3 simultaneous projects."
  • ❌ "Responsible for development."
  • ❌ "Manager."

4. Define your search preferences

Be clear about what you are looking for:

  • Job type: Define your target precisely.
  • Preferred location: City/cities and geographic mobility.
  • Remote work: Your remote working preferences.
  • Availability: When you are available for a new position.
  • Salary expectations: Be transparent about your expectations (remains confidential).

FAQ

Why do some jobs not appear in my results?

A job may be excluded from your results if it does not match your strict criteria (contract type, location, experience level, remote work), or if it is not relevant enough in terms of the job title or your experience profile.

If I get fewer results, how can I be sure I am not missing anything?

The matching system analyzes absolutely all available jobs on the platform each time it runs — nothing is excluded in advance. The more complete and honest your profile is about your aspirations, the more certain you are of not missing any opportunity that truly matters to you.

How does the system decide the order of jobs?

The ranking is based on a relevance score that prioritizes the job title match first (the strongest signal), then the fit with your experience, shared skills, and cultural match.

What should I change to see more jobs?

Try broadening your strict filters (search radius, remote work policy), adjusting your target job title to make it more standard, or testing different phrasings of your search.

What is an Opportunity (sourcing)?

It is a job post for which a recruiter has directly identified you as a relevant profile. You receive a personalized notification and can choose to apply or not.

Where can I view my Opportunities?

Log in to your account, go to your dashboard and click on the "Opportunities" tab. You will find all the jobs for which recruiters have identified you there.

How do I know if my profile is well optimized for sourcing?

Check that your profile is 100% complete, that it contains skills with strategic keywords for your field, that your experience is detailed with concrete achievements, and that your search status is either "actively looking" or "open to opportunities."

Do recruiters see all my information?

Recruiters see the information you have made public on your profile. Some information, such as your salary expectations, remains confidential.

How long does it take to receive Opportunities?

This depends on your profile, your industry and current demand. A complete and optimized profile with in-demand skills significantly increases your chances of being contacted quickly.

Can I decline an Opportunity without any negative impact?

Yes, absolutely. You are free to accept or decline the opportunities offered to you. There is no negative impact on your profile or your visibility.

What is the difference between "classic" jobs and Opportunities?

Classic jobs are those you find through your active search (Job Matching). Opportunities are jobs for which a recruiter has specifically identified and sourced you. They appear in a dedicated tab in your dashboard.
